One Ride In Vegas

December 5th is always a pretty exciting day in my book. Dax-man was born that day, 4 years later we celebrated by baking a crooked cake (courtesy of sister Rylee) and 4 emergency candles (courtesy of a forgetful mom). I asked Dax what he wanted for his birthday dinner, and his answer just blew me out of the water. Broccoli. And carrots. Um, anything else? Maybe some noodles and chicken nuggets. All right kid. His party was at Grandma's house so we could eat some cake and run. Because December 5th was also the night before the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
See how cool we all look standing in front of some garbage cans in front of some building that could have been anywhere? But it's really in Vegas at the biggest rodeo in the world. I've never been much of a rodeo lover, due mostly to knowing too many rodeo cowboys. But the finals is a different story. Some friends of ours picked us up in Utah on the 6th and we made it to night number one of ten. The first event was bare back bronc riding, and every single stinking contestant scored. It was awesome! I enjoyed barrel racing for the first time ever. Even though we were sitting 3rd from the top in this huge arena the seats were good and we could catch all the action. So I've made a life plan for my newly 4 year old, since he's kind of a tank, he can steer wrestle and I'll be the hazer. Plan on seeing us inside the arena in about 20 years.

Love the hat! Having lived in Texas most of my life, I fell in love with the black Stetson and big buckle look. Giddyup!

BTW I don't see the trashcans. LOL

Me gustan las botas, me parecen de lo mas original, aunque aquí en España, tenenemos los botos de Valverde del camino, también son muy bonitos, pero no se parecen en nada a los vuestros, ya os enviaré foto un saludo

Seriously?! Veggies? Must know your secret! My kid just wants Mac & Cheese all day, everyday.

LOVE the candles. Ha ha ha! You're a genius!

And fun weekend in Vegas. I haven't been to the rodeo without a kid in a long time. Just not as fun with whiney kids pestering you.
